I can't go and get my scanner to work! What can I do?

I enjoy a Lexmark X1270 and I can print things but my scanner doesn't work.

I can't go and get my scanner to work! What can I do?

Reinstall the software that came near it. Apparently windows have misplaced the driver.
Look on the disk or in the encyclopaedia that came beside the scanner/printer and see if there is special software you hold to install to do scanning. Mine does but it's not a Lexmark.
