That's probably why your friend give it to you.... it doesn't work.



How old is it? What brand is it? Did you check the manufacturer's website? Did you restart the computer? Did you plug it surrounded by yet? Did you install the software? Read the instructions... is it for a PC or MAC? Is it for Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 or XP? What system do you hold? Was it designed for your version of Windows?

Could be that the scanner is too old for your revision of windows, could be the scanner is fried!
Your press does not provide much to work with. What brand is it? Does it power up? Do you own the proper cables connecting it to your computer? Is the software/hardware compatible near your computer?
unplug the scanner cable if you pluged in, restart the computer. install the cd program and drive, restart the laptop. plug in the scanner, permit the computer install it self, after complate, restart it again.
You did not mentioned if you downloaded the soft ware already from the disk ? However,simply if scanner is not loaded surrounded by the system with disc,Just check the model number and name of company.Go to www.company entitle.com and download the soft ware.
