For those who enjoy Canon Canoscan, I need some backing. I have a Canon Canoscan 8600. I want to scan slides but I can't integer out how. The troubleshooting says to select film from the dropdown menu but it isn't timetabled. What am I doing wrong?

Isn't there a photo/film button right on the scanner? (Middle button, right side)
