how do you replace buoyant on memorex6142 scanner. lighting does not work.?
You might set free money by buying another scanner.
I bought a vey nice pro-sumer Agfa scanner for $20 recently.
Usually replacing the street light has to be done by a Repair Facility. Check out http://www.memorex.com/html/support_sear... to bring the manual. You can also use that site to force out for the replacement/repair guidelines.
scanners don't cost that much money it would prob. be cheaper to just buy a clean one

Just got my payment for $500.
