most scan formats are not directly compatible beside the clipboard because until they are saved, they hold no real format defined, however, you can scan your statue into the application and then copy it directly to the clipboard from near to drop into any other application that supports images. the clipboard take a "snapshot" of your data ... a scan image have no defined file size until it is complete ... some applications allow you to scan an emblem directly into them bypassing the need for clipboard altogether
