How to install a scanner?

I own a Memorex 6136u scanner and I already downloaded the programm from memorex.com and installed it but when I go to Control Panel and try to hoarding a scanner in Printers and Scanners folder it doesn't show me profile I downloaded. what should I do? I don't have the compact disc with hardware
